Bargota Ring
A circular route through the farmland and countryside of Bargota, passing by Fuente Vieja, the River Mariñanas and the El Pozo birdwatching hide.
Starting the circular route from the sports park at the Bargota barn, a gentle descent takes us to the Fuente Vieja as we leave the town centre behind. We walk along the outskirts of the town, initially on a very slight incline through farmland and orchards, until we cross the River Mariñanas via a bridge. We then climb the path which soon takes us close to the Arbanta irrigation channel and, following it, continue round Bargota until we reach a junction near the starting point.
Here, we have the option of finishing the Bargota Loop or heading towards El Pozo, where there is a small pond and a birdwatching hide. We return to the starting point of the route via the same path alongside the irrigation channel.
