San Cristóbal de Lezáun
A circular route starting in Lezáun, taking in the landscapes of Andía, including high-altitude pastures, the Arce de Lezaun and the chapel of San Cristóbal.
The circular route starts at the municipal pelota court in Lezaun, in the lower part of the village. First, we cross through Lezaun until we reach the upper part of the village and set off along a path through pastures, heading towards the Andía hills. Once we have climbed the long, gentle slope, we turn left and, crossing through pastures, reach the Tauste-Andía valley. At this point, we have the option of briefly turning off the route to the left to visit the white hut.
Otherwise, we turn right and continue along the cattle track towards the Sierra de Andía, walking on level ground through open fields and wooded sections until we reach the Arce de Lezaun natural monument. We then resume the gentle climb, which becomes steeper towards the end, to reach the high-altitude pastures next to the Hermitage of San Cristóbal, where we are treated to a stunning view of the surrounding area.
From the hermitage, we begin the descent back to Lezaun. We follow the same path we took on the ascent and complete the route.
