Plasterworks of Cárcar
A circular route through the Yesos de Cárcar, along the River Ega, featuring nature trails and panoramic viewpoints.
We start the route at the municipal swimming pools in Cárcar. We leave the town and head towards the upper part of ‘El Raso’, where we come to the cliffs overlooking the banks of the River Ega. Running parallel to these, we take a path back to Cárcar and, as we enter the town centre, we come across a panoramic viewpoint.
We continue the route and, upon reaching the church of San Miguel, we begin an urban walk which, descending, takes us to the banks of the River Ega. After crossing the bridge, we take the path on the left and join the out-and-back route of the Cárcar Plaster Walk, running parallel to the river.
Finally, we return to Cárcar along the same path to the church, from where we wander through the streets back to the start of the route at the municipal swimming pools.
