Bargota Vineyards
A circular route through the vineyards and rural heritage of Bargota, taking in stone huts, a prehistoric wine press and El Pozo.
We start the circular walk from the Granero de Bargota sports park. We head south, following the green belt until we reach the El Pozo area. Here we have the option of taking a detour and climbing a short stretch of path to visit an old stone hut. We continue the route through farmland and vineyards; further on, we have the chance to take a detour to see a prehistoric wine press.
We then come to the Camino de Santiago and follow it in the opposite direction, towards Torres del Río, passing several stone huts. We cross the NA-7206 road and reach the Arbanta irrigation area, where we can stop to see the old reservoir and dam of this irrigation system.
We continue along the Camino de Santiago until we finally head north to return to Bargota. Before reaching the El Pozo area again, we can turn right to visit one last stone hut with a panoramic view of the vineyards. Finally, we return to the village of Bargota to complete the route.
