Meandro de Rivalta
A circular route between the River Arga and the Rivalta bend, featuring Aleppo pine woodland, a panoramic viewpoint and rural heritage.
We begin the circular route at the Mañeru wash house. We head south, passing through the mining area, and descend towards the banks of the River Arga, crossing a Aleppo pine forest.
We enter the Arga river bend until we reach an area designated for bicycle parking, where there is an information panel about the natural wealth of the bend. From this point, you can continue on foot along paths that lead into the forest, an area of great scenic and floral interest.
Returning to the rest area, we retrace our steps to the junction and rejoin the path that climbs alongside the corraliza, where we can see a spire-shaped hut typical of the area. The climb ends at the Barranco de Rivalta viewpoint, where we can enjoy the panoramic views. Afterwards, we begin the return journey to Mañeru on an uphill but gentle slope, passing by the ‘cabaña de la cruz’, a restored example of the shelters and storage huts of times gone by. From this point, we follow the marked track and reach the town hall. Finally, we return to the starting point of the route.
