Legarda and the River Ebro
A circular cycle route between Mendavia and the River Ebro, passing through Legarda, the La Barca grove and riverside landscapes.
We start the circular route—designed for mountain or gravel bikes—at Mendavia Town Hall. We head south and turn right to leave the town via Calle de Legarda. We continue along the road until we reach the chapel of the Virgen de Legarda.
We continue south along the Ebro path until we reach the Soto de La Barca, an iconic spot in Mendavia, where we can enjoy the flora and fauna of the Ebro riverbank. We continue our route alongside the River Ebro and arrive at a spot where there is a large cliff overlooking the river, where we may be able to spot vultures. Finally, from this point we take a track northwards towards Mendavia, passing by the Río Mayor, to return to the starting point at the Town Hall.
